Job description

Original Plumbing is seeking a dependable part-time Plumbing Helper/Apprentice to assist an experienced plumber with residential and commercial service, repairs, remodels, and installations throughout the Phoenix area.

This is a part-time position with variable hours based on scheduled workload. Typical availability is one to three weekdays per week, with the potential for additional hours as the company grows. This is not currently a guaranteed full-time position.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist with plumbing installations, repairs, rough-ins, and fixture replacements
  • Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials
  • Dig trenches, perform demolition, backfill, and clean jobsites
  • Cut and prepare PEX, copper, ABS, and other plumbing materials
  • Assist with water heaters, sewer work, repipes, remodels, and service calls
  • Pick up materials and help keep the work vehicle organized
  • Follow jobsite safety procedures and protect customer property
  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude around customers

Requirements:

  • Dependable attendance and ability to arrive on time
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift approximately 75 pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors, in trenches, attics, and Arizona heat
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Basic construction or plumbing experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to pass employment and driving-related screening if requested

Starting pay is $18–$22 per hour, depending on plumbing experience, construction knowledge, tools, reliability, and demonstrated ability.

This position may develop into additional hours and future full-time employment for the right candidate.
