Job description

Job Overview

As our workload continues to expand, we are seeking Experienced Licensed Electrical Apprentices to work on commercial electrical projects in the Houston and surrounding areas. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience in various electrical tasks and projects. You will be working in a commercial environment and learning essential skills that will contribute to your professional development. We are consistently growing, and as such we have ongoing needs for experienced commercial electrical apprentices to grow with our company. We offer competitive hourly pay ranging from $18- $29 per hour (based on experience).

We are IEC members and offer training through the IEC.


Licensed Electrical Apprentice Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
  • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Work with low voltage systems as directed by senior electricians.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Licensed Electrical Apprentice Requirements

  • A TDLR Apprentice license is required.
  • Travel to the Houston Metro and surrounding.
  • 2 years previous commercial electrical experience is required.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical concepts.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desirable.
  • A strong willingness to learn from experienced professionals in the field of electrical work.
  • Must be able to work effectively on construction sites, adhering to safety standards.
