Job Summary
Advance is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Apprentice Electrician to join one of our client's growing electrical teams in McAllen, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the electrical trade while working under the supervision of licensed electricians.
The Apprentice Electrician will assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings while learning industry standards, safety practices, and local electrical codes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed electricians with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and install outlets, switches, and fixtures
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and work orders
  • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Transport materials and equipment as needed
  • Learn and apply National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an electrical helper or apprentice
  • Must have a TDLR Apprentice Electrical License
  • Enrollment in or completion of an electrical trade school is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of electrical tools and materials
