An Apprentice Technician is a training position to become an Automotive Technician and associates must be able to safely operate shop equipment, demonstrate the ability to learn and repeat basic mechanical repairs, and comply with Kendall Auto Group, OSHA and EPA policies.


Duties include but are not limited to performing maintenance on vehicles, inspecting, replenishing and filling vehicle fluids, performing vehicle inspections, documenting work and hours per company policies, test driving vehicles to identify completion of repairs, making recommendations for additional work needed and completing basic repairs such as tire replacements, balances and rotations.


Work is performed indoors in a shop environment, tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools that produce significant vibration and force, standing and walking will be required for entire work shift in order to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally required.

Requirements:

Basic lube tech training or tech schooling preferred. You must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. A valid driver license and good driving record are required.
