The Role + Purpose

The Technical Designer leads the Technical Design team in maintaining fit, construction, and technical design standards across women's denim 5-pocket and washed bottoms. This role partners closely with Technical Design, Production, Design, and overseas factory teams to help ensure styles are executed with consistency, accuracy, and alignment to brand standards from development through bulk approval.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the Technical Design team maintains technical design standards and consistency across women's denim 5pkt and washed product bottoms.
  • Track fit samples and accurately measure incoming garments, review details, and construction in preparation for fittings.
  • Conduct all fittings and assist the Technical Design team in managing the fit approval process.
  • Oversees the Technical Design team to issue Tech Pack approvals in PLM system.
  • Upholds construction standards, fit corrections, and grading rules are implemented with accuracy and consistency across multiple styles.
  • Must be organized and able to independently prioritize workload to meet PLC calendar deliverables and bulk approval dates.
  • Manages and creates Proto development progress and supports cross-functional teams to meet approval dates in alignment with company calendar.
  • Communicates promptly and clearly with the Technical Design Director and overseas factories, updating Tech Packs accordingly. Works on pattern correction with 5 pocket.
  • Helps maintain the block library; receives and organizes TOP samples, mark approval status in PLM.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • College degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5- 7 years of technical design experience
  • In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fit, and pattern correction, ideally within denim 5-pocket styles.
  • Knowledge of patternmaking and draping.
  • Experience with PLM, Clo 3D, Gerber, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet calendar deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across fit, construction, and technical documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams and with overseas factories.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting women's denim and washed bottoms.
  • Gerber knowledge.
  • Familiarity with block libraries, grading rules, and fit standard maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong follow-through and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Salary Range: $80,800.00 - $100,400.00
