Job description

  • Lead Data Center Technician with 5+ years of hands-on experience operating in a high-availability data center environment, responsible for leading rack and stack deployments across servers, network, and SAN infrastructure with full ownership of rack layouts and standards.
  • This role demands deep expertise in power distribution (A/B feeds, load balancing, dual-corded systems), airflow optimization (hot/cold aisle containment, static pressure, CFM management), and structured cabling (fiber and copper installation, termination, labeling, and testing).
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced hardware break/fix capabilities, strong physical layer troubleshooting across cabling and connectivity, and cross-domain support spanning server, storage, and networking.
  • They will lead deployments, migrations, and high-risk production changes while ensuring strict adherence to standards for rack elevations, cable management, labeling, power mapping, and maintain accurate DCIM and asset inventory management systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools (Fluke testers, light meters, iDRAC/iLO) and experience using DCIM platforms for tracking capacity, assets, and environmental data is required.
  • Acting as the primary technical lead and escalation point for floor operations, this individual must execute installs, moves, and changes safely while maintaining a clean, efficient, and serviceable data center environment.
