Description

Position Summary:
Achieves or exceeds sales objective by serving the customer. Interacts with sales, office, and corporate staff to accomplish company goals.

Essential Functions:

  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Welcomes customers by greeting them; and offering assistance.
  • Assists customers by escorting them to area of the store for requested items.
  • Monitors sales staff and inspects what is expected.
  • Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence. Offers suggestions and opinions.
  • Maintains sales floor integrity through visual display.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Responsible for prepping new furniture and placing on the floor with the help of other staff members.
  • Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of future merchandise of potential interest (Wish Book).
  • Contributes to team assignments and requirements.
  • Works together as an individual and team to open and close the showrooms.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Customer Service and people skills, selling to customer needs.
  • Product knowledge. General math skills. Computer Skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, listening and leadership skills.
  • Initiative to meet assigned sales goals, missions and objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport.

Medium
Exerting 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently and or greater than negligible up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time
