What will you be doing?

  • Prepare and cook food quickly and correctly following all required recipes and prepared in a timely manner.
  • Store food correctly and use proper rotation and dating standards.
  • Determine inventory of food items and requisition from storeroom.
  • Maintain high quality level of food production and presentation.
  • Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of cooking area along with personal hygiene.
  • Recognize and report over prep to Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. 

What do you bring to the role?

  • Previous cooking experience required; culinary or apprenticeship program preferred, high school degree or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in extreme temperatures and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in saute, line, and broiler stations; ability to read orders from a POS system.
  • Ability to cut, dice, julienne, and prepare fresh produce with proper techniques.
  • Familiarity with seafood stocks, grilling, sauteing, deep frying, and cold food prep.
  • Ability to obtain necessary sanitation, liquor service, or food service certifications.
  • Knowledge of proper cooking procedures, knife handling, and use of kitchen tools. 
  • Ability to read orders for the point of sales system and understand English.
