At Soccer Shots, we have a ton of fun teaching soccer skills and character development to Pre-K & Elementary youth, providing a remarkable experience for our families and staff. We offer classes all around the Portland Metro area. Soccer Shots coaches must love working with kids and have an engaging personality with the ability to transport soccer gear to classes and reliable transportation.
We are Growing and need more preschool soccer coaches! Preschool coaches MUST be registered with the Central Background Registry through the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care. This is a requirement for this position.
The Job
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers.
  • Coach Soccer Shots classes with an apprentice coach, providing on field mentoring and direction.
  • Complete high quality classes with excellent evaluations scores
  • Attend all seasonal trainings and other events when available
  • Prompt, reliable, and professional written and verbal communication via slack acknowledging messages

Qualifications:
  • Prior sports/coaching/teaching experience required
  • Prior training, mentoring or leadership experience required
  • Genuine passion for children and sports
  • Energetic, engaging, responsible and safety conscious
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of kids ages 2-8.
  • High school diploma plus additional education and/or certification
  • Drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand, jog, and model childrens soccer skills.
  • Completed and approved Oregon Early Learning school required fingerprinting and background check.
