Job description

Beitzel Corporation is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing Electrical Services team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll bring your expertise to a wide range of industrial and construction projects. You’ll work on everything from electrical installations to maintenance and repairs in industries such as construction, manufacturing, commercial facilities, power plants, oil and gas, aggregate, solar, wind, and more. This is a hands-on, skilled role that requires strong electrical knowledge, a solid understanding of industrial environments, and a high level of professionalism.

In addition to technical work, we value electricians who are looking to continue learning and expanding their credentials. If you’re interested in pursuing additional licenses or certifications, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

This position does require a flexible schedule, with the expectation of frequent travel and out-of-town assignments. You should be prepared for extended hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts, depending on project needs.


  • Provide general and skilled labor to industrial trades and to various construction and industrial projects
  • Perform electrical installations and trouble shooting
  • Communicate equipment and supply needs as needed
  • Prepare time and materials (T&M) tickets, receipts, and other paperwork as required by the job
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the installation of concrete pours and finishes, building and preparing forms, rebar, masonry, block laying, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, rigging, excavation, ditching, trenching and general labor as required

Working Conditions

  • Sit, talk, hear, read, and write
  • Walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Kneel, stoop, bend, squat, and climb a ladder
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work at a variety of heights
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations

  • Must possess a Journeyman Electrical license in any state (MD is preferred)
  • 2+ years’ of electrical experience required
  • Preferably begins the MSHA-WV Electrical Apprenticeship Program
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Services is preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NEC (National Electric Code)
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Practical knowledge of office procedures and customer relations
