Grand Rapids, MI • On-site

Job description

Client Retention & Appointment Specialist
iAG Wireless | Grand Rapids, MI
iAG Wireless is looking for a motivated, confident, and competitive individual to join our Grand Rapids team in a phone-based customer outreach role.
This position is focused on connecting with customers, creating interest, and scheduling qualified appointments at our local retail locations.
Unlike a traditional retail sales position, the majority of your day will be spent on the phone. Your job is to start conversations, uncover opportunities, and get customers through the doors of our stores where our retail teams can complete the sale.
When the appointments you generate turn into sales, you earn a percentage of the business you helped create.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct a high volume of outbound customer calls each day
  • Speak with new and existing customers about available opportunities
  • Identify customer needs and create interest in visiting one of our Grand Rapids-area locations
  • Schedule qualified appointments directly with our retail stores
  • Follow up with customers who have previously expressed interest
  • Maintain accurate customer and appointment information
  • Work closely with our retail sales teams to track appointment results
  • Consistently work toward individual call, appointment, and sales-production goals
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers
This is a high-activity position. Candidates should be comfortable making approximately 120–200 calls throughout a normal workday.
Who We're Looking For
We are not necessarily looking for the person with the longest résumé or the most years of sales experience.
We would much rather find someone who is not afraid of hard work, comes in ready to learn, takes coaching seriously, and is hungry to get better.
Previous sales, call center, appointment-setting, wireless, or customer service experience is definitely a plus — but it is not what will ultimately determine whether you're successful here.
We're looking for someone who:
  • Is eager to learn and willing to be coached
  • Isn't afraid of putting in real effort
  • Is comfortable making 150+ calls in a day
  • Can stay motivated even after hearing “no”
  • Is confident speaking with people over the phone
  • Wants to improve their sales and communication skills
  • Is competitive and motivated by earning potential
  • Takes accountability for their own results
  • Can maintain a high level of activity throughout the workday
  • Shows up with a strong attitude and willingness to work
We can teach you our process.
We can teach you how to have better conversations, set stronger appointments, and become more effective on the phone.
What we can't teach is hunger, work ethic, and the willingness to keep going when the day gets difficult.
Compensation
This is a performance-driven position.
Team members have the opportunity to earn commission based on sales generated from the appointments and opportunities they create.
Full compensation details, commission percentages, performance expectations, and earning potential will be explained during the interview process.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is simple:
Create conversations.
Create opportunities.
Create appointments.
Create revenue.
We're looking for someone who understands that the phone is a tool for making money and is willing to consistently put in the activity required to produce results.
You do not need to walk through our doors knowing everything.
You do need to walk through them ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to get better.
If that sounds like you, we'd like to talk.
