About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer II to serve as a key technical partner to our global customer base. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, client interaction, and problem-solving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As an Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting customers with the successful use of PBS bioreactor systems, contributing to product improvements, and partnering closely with internal teams to drive innovation and customer success.

This is a remote position with travel required.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a technical expert supporting customers on PBS bioreactor systems and bioprocess optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cell culture and process-related challenges in a timely manner
  • Provide remote and on-site training to customers and internal teams
  • Partner with Sales to support customer engagements and drive successful adoption of PBS technologies
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions with key clients
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product development teams
  • Support development of technical marketing materials (application notes, white papers, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with the Field Service team to help complete services on PBS bioreactors in the field as necessary

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with immune cell culture (T cells, NK cells)
  • Experience working with bioreactor systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel (up to ~25%)

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in biotech, biopharma, or related industries
  • Experience creating technical documentation or publications
  • Customer-facing or applications support experience
