Job description

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all capital projects for the Resort, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees all phases of development including pre-planning, RFP’s, approvals, scheduling, budgeting and invoice collection.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large-scale hospitality and/or resort construction/project developments, with strong leadership, financial oversight, organizational skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and coordinate capital project list, budgeting, and scheduling along with the GM, AGM and DOF.
  • Collect multiple quotes for each project.
  • Coordinate with construction companies, architects, vendors and manage any permitting, and regulatory approvals.
  • Develop and maintain master project schedule and milestones.
  • Lead coordination between LC Team, design team, contractors, and specialty consultants.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and change orders.
  • Manage value engineering initiatives while maintaining brand standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
  • Develop and manage the total project budget (hard and soft costs).
  • Track cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Approve contractor pay applications and manage contingency funds.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement processes.

 

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Combination of office and on-site work which may require to be outside

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in large-scale hospitality, resort, or mixed-use development.
  • Proven experience managing Events/Projects valued at $5,000 and up
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality construction standards and understanding of guest impact with construction
  • Strong financial background in budgeting and cost controls.
  • Contract negotiation experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
