Who are you?

Reporting to the Project Management Team Lead, the Project Managers provide a lead and technical role to manage and execute projects for clients. The Project Manager is responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget for the projects that they are assigned. The main focus of this role is mechanical testing and validation projects for agriculture, transportation, and related industries. When project issues arise, Project Leaders work with the Project Management Team Lead to proactively address and resolve the issues in a timely manner to enable PAMI to be successful.

What will you do?

  • General understanding of technical project work, with experience in applying these to the agriculture, mining, or transportation sectors.
  • Provide leadership to projects involving physical testing of mechanical systems and components including force, vibration, fatigue, to replicate the real-world environment or compliance with codes and standards.
  • Create technical reports and presentations to provide results and recommendations to clients.
  • Strong business and people management skills and 5-10 years of experience in project management.
  • Provide expertise and leadership during projects by scheduling internal resources and preparing and managing budgets.
  • As a functional manager, have a demonstrated ability to resolve issues, motivate others and establish relevant key performance indicators.
  • A champion of best people, practices, systems, and processes. Safety- and process-oriented, with the ability to apply and implement this in a project environment.
  • Strong communication (written, oral, presentation) skills with the ability to effectively engage at a variety of management levels and with a range of audiences.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5-10 years project management experience
  • Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation is considered an asset
  • Familiar with a Data Acquisition Systems and post processing of data for comparison with real world results.
  • Understanding of FEA stress and fatigue analysis.
  • Familiar with agricultural and industrial machinery and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Eligibility for EGM or CTTAM registration.
  • Project Management Professional designation.
