Our world-class team includes experts in all aspects of spacecraft subsystems design, development, and test, on-orbit operations, and safety.

About the Position: We are seeking a talented and experienced Applications Development Engineer to join our Space Networking Group Engineering Team. The Applications Engineer will play a key role in the design, implementation and deployment of Intuitive Machines’ Space Network.

Responsibilities:

  • Participatein the design, development and implementation of the Intuitive Machines Space Network architecture and services.
  • Provide technical support andexpertiseduring mission planning, execution, and post mission analysis.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development in C, C++, Rust programming languages, Python
  • Clear understanding and experience with internetworking protocols such as the TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and tools, including Agile and DevOps practices, with creative approach to problem solving, software quality and testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Gitlab, Docker, Confluence, Jira, SQL databases.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedules in a collaborative cross-disciplinary team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with and developing in Unix/Linux Operating System, RTOS, VxWorks environments.
  • Knowledge on IETF and CCSDS Standards, Delay Tolerant Networking and Bundle Protocol.
  • Knowledge on terrestrial, radio,satelliteand optical communications.
  • Experience in software development for space applications.
