Job description

Overview

The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for supporting, analyzing, and improving business systems, technical processes, reporting solutions, and operational workflows across the organization. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders, Application Analysts, Software Engineers, and technical teams to deliver scalable technology solutions that align with organizational goals. 

The Senior Technical Analyst leads technical initiatives, manages business intake processes, supports project delivery and users' training, owns functional design documentation, and provides data analysis and reporting insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. 

Must be located in one of the following states - Minnesota, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Mississippi, New York, Virginia or Wisconsin 

Responsibilities

Business & Technical Analysis 

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to identify effective system solutions and translate needs into clear functional specifications. 
  • Partner with stakeholders, Application Analysts, and Developers to assess priorities and align solutions with organizational goals. 
  • Own functional design documentation, workflows, and technical documentation to support solution development and delivery. 
  • Perform data analysis and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support operational insights and decision-making. 

Solution Delivery & Systems Support 

  • Lead and support technical projects through planning, coordination, communication, and implementation activities. 
  • Facilitate solution design and support testing, implementation, and deployment to ensure successful delivery. 
  • Develop and execute QA test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria to validate system functionality, integrations, and reporting accuracy. 
  • Troubleshoot complex system and data issues, support integrations, and coordinate resolutions while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. 

Process Management, Documentation & User Enablement 

  • Manage the business intake process for technology requests, enhancements, reporting needs, and operational improvements. 
  • Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, procedures, and user guides to support consistency and adoption. 
  • Provide end-user training and ongoing support for systems, processes, and technology solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Minimum Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in technical analysis, systems analysis, business systems support, or related IT roles 
  • Experience managing technical projects and cross-functional initiatives 
  • Experience facilitating business intake and requirements gathering processes 
  • Experience developing and maintaining functional design documentation 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development 
  • Knowledge of SQL, APIs, system integrations, and data management concepts 
  • Experience supporting QA testing activities, including test planning, test case creation, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, regression testing, and validation of business requirements
