Job description

The Technical Documentation Analyst role performs routine platform administration tasks including project management support and workflow and process automations while solving difficult but typically not complex problems related to platform solutions. The role operates under general supervision, seeking guidance for complex or unfamiliar situations and makes decisions within established guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with the administration of the Egnyte platform and other enterprise platform tools. 
  • Coordinate with the Help Desk to resolve issues and ensure timely maintenance and updates. 
  • Manage small projects for the platform team’s roadmap initiatives, ensuring proper communication and change management. 
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and tools, including automating tasks such as drawing and model publication, markups, application integration, and mobile access. Work with senior Platform Analysts to implement changes. 
  • Act as a key contributor to teams that define, review, and approve requirements for business needs. 
  • Work remotely and independently as needed. 
  • Abide by change control procedures in-line with company best practices and policy 
  • Ensure compliance with BC standard operating procedures, maintain confidentiality through adherence to non-disclosure agreements, and uphold all security policies to protect sensitive information and maintain organizational integrity. 
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. 

Mentorship 

  • May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles. 

Skills and Competencies

Experience 

  • Typically requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in platform administration or related roles 
  • ITIL Foundations certification preferred 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience administering or supporting enterprise cloud platforms, including user management, permissions, governance, and process optimization.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and improving knowledge bases, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and self-service support content.
  • Experience participating in or supporting IT Service Management (ITSM) implementations, including service catalog development, workflow design, incident/request management, or ITIL-aligned practices.
  • Experience identifying manual business processes and implementing automation solutions using workflow, integration, or low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, including evaluating opportunities to improve user experience, automate repetitive work, enhance knowledge management, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.

Education 

  • A degree in Information Technology or any related field or equivalent experience is required. 

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.  These ranges may be modified in the future.  

Location A:$78,000 - $106,000Location B:$85,000 - $116,000
