POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Customer Solutions Supervisor; Key Accounts, the Sales Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop technical solutions including product and application support. The ideal candidate will blend their engineering expertise with a solution selling approach, helping customers improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and optimize system performance. The Sales Engineer will have strong communication skills, and a savviness to be able to translate technical concepts into customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate will operate with a continuous improvement mindset, staying on top of industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging technologies to ensure Solve is consistently offering our customers the "best-in-class" product lines and solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify customer needs through consultative selling, site visits, equipment evaluations and application analysis
  • Present technical and product solutions based on application specifications within bearing and drive solutions
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that clearly communicate product value, performance benefits and ROI
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to design custom or modified solutions and prepare sales quotes for customers
  • Support customers during installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, ensuring proper product selection and performance
  • Participate in trade shows, training sessions and customer seminars to promote company capabilities and strengthen market presence
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (or a related technical discipline), or 3+ years of experience in a related technical role
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Bearing types and failure modes
    • Shaft alignment, load calculations and lubrication principles
    • Gearboxes, motors, drives and mechanical power transmission systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to travel up to 60%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with reliability programs, such as predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, or condition monitoring
