Job Description

Title: K-3 Multiage Teacher Leader     

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid New York State Music Teacher certification
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of curriculum and the instructional best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting
  • Able to work effectively with a variety of staff and groups

Responsibilities: Shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the development and implementation of the district's Multiage curriculum and initiatives
  • Lead and participate in Multiage-based pilots to evaluate new instructional materials and methods
  • Gather feedback and information to assess program needs
  • Coordinate Multiage-based resources, special events, or programs
  • Assists with ordering and managing the distribution of Multiage materials for the program
  • Assist teachers in the analysis, interpretation, and application of data
  • Attend identified training and professional development
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and document PLCs, including annual goal setting and professional learning
  • Provide input for district-based professional development and conference days
  • Serve as a member of the Building Leadership Team and any relevant district-level committees
  • Meet monthly with the Director of PK-6 Elementary Instruction and other K-6 Teacher Leaders
  • Communicate and share updates, data, and department initiatives at monthly building meetings
  • Contribute to the hiring process by serving on designated interview committees
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student, family, and staff information.
  • Fulfill general teacher leader responsibilities, as assigned

Salary: As per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association

Terms of Employment:

The Multiage Teacher Leader position is a ten-month position. The terms established are in accordance with the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association.

Evaluation:

Performance in this position will be evaluated annually by district administration.
