Job description

Summary

FIT’s Project Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, communication, and execution of assigned client projects. This includes communication with internal project teams, account managers, clients, and vendors. The project manager is responsible for ensuring assigned projects are completed on schedule and on budget.


Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining project deadlines and successful on-time project delivery for assigned client projects. 

• Responsible to facilitate all project communication with client stakeholders during scoping, planning, and project go live. This includes video calls and written communication.

•Coordinate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and align expectations

• Work directly with project team members to track progress, identify, and resolve issues, and facilitate project completion. 

• Create and maintain project plans including definition of project tasks and deliverables in coordination with FIT’s technical team leaders. 

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute project tasks.

• Assign responsibilities and ensure team members are aligned with project goals.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members. 

• Hold project teams accountable to project management best practices including accurate time tracking and project milestone tracking within FIT’s project management system. 

• Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as needed to stay within budget.

• Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Maintain a risk register and issues log and update stakeholders on critical issues

• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations

• Conduct post-project analysis upon project completion to ensure continuous project improvement. 

• Design and implement improvements for the project management process. 


Required Qualifications

  • Preferred 3+ years’ experience in project management. 

• Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them. 

• Applicants with previous IT Managed Services experience or other IT industry experience are encouraged but not required. 

• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in team atmosphere. 

• Demonstrated ability to organize and accomplish tasks successfully. 

• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimum supervision. 

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and the ability to adapt to an evolving environment. 

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed on FIT or client networks and obtained through client relationships. 


Working Conditions + Physical Requirements

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. Regular, in-person attendance at FIT Technologies Headquarters during standard business hours is required to perform the essential function of this role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in in-person meetings. Specific scheduling expectations will be determined by leadership based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work to support meetings, events, or deadlines, occasional work weeks of more than 40 hours.
