Job Description:
Apex Systems is hiring a Project Manager to join a growing growing client in Greenwood Village, CO.
We're looking for a Project Manager that has worked on technical projects to support an internal software development platform that is rapidly evolving into an enterprise-wide engine for agentic workflows. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy partnering closely with engineering teams, and know how to bring structure to complex technical work, this role will be a great fit.
Duration: Long term open ended contract with the potential to convert to FTE
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Onsite Requirement: 2 days onsite 3 days remote per week
Compensation: $50-55/hr
What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities
  • Technical Project Management
  • Manage day-to-day execution across software development team
  • Drive ticket creation, refinement, and Jira hygiene
  • Ask the right technical questions to ensure clarity, feasibility, and sequencing
  • Support delivery of new features, new models, and fast-turn executive requests
  • Help teams prioritize and divide incoming work

Agile Delivery
  • Facilitate sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, standups, retros)
  • Track progress, risks, and blockers across multiple workstreams
  • Maintain visibility through dashboards, reporting, and status updates

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, QA, and DevOps
  • Support quarterly planning and initiative reviews
  • Organize meetings, working sessions, and leadership updates

Required Experience
  • 3+ years in Project Management experience
  • Experience supporting complex software delivery, ideally in technical projects, data science, platform development, or software/product environments
  • Strong proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable pivoting quickly as priorities change
  • Agile experience
  • Prior hands-on technical background would be a plus!
