Job description

Nielsen Mechanical, a Crete United company, is a growing commercial HVAC contractor serving the Denver market. Our construction team delivers high-quality mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects while maintaining a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and craftsmanship.

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager who enjoys leading projects, working closely with field teams, and delivering successful outcomes for customers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys running projects end-to-end, collaborating with superintendents and install crews, and ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and profitable.

What You'll DoLead Commercial HVAC Projects
  • Manage the full lifecycle of HVAC construction projects from kickoff through final closeout
  • Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Maintain project schedules, milestones, and procurement timelines
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards
Manage Project Financial Performance
  • Develop and manage project budgets, labor plans, and cost forecasts
  • Track actual costs vs budget and adjust plans as needed
  • Maintain strong cost control and margin performance
  • Participate in monthly project financial reviews and forecasting
Support Field Execution
  • Work closely with the General Superintendent and installation teams
  • Align manpower planning with project schedules and labor productivity
  • Provide leadership on installation sequencing, logistics, and coordination
Manage Changes & Documentation
  • Identify scope changes early and manage change orders
  • Track RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Ensure accurate project records and reporting throughout the job lifecycle
Build Strong Client Relationships
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers and general contractors
  • Maintain professional communication regarding schedules, scope, and project updates
  • Help create opportunities for repeat business through strong project delivery
Project Closeout
