Job Summary:
SimIS Inc. is an innovative information technology solution Veteran Owned Small Business that focuses on securing enterprises from threats and ensuring client mission success. They are seeking a Software Engineer III who will be responsible for independently executing software design and development tasks, leading agile teams, and mentoring junior staff while developing application software and ensuring compliance with standards.
Responsibilities:
• Develop application software
• Debug and test application code
• Coordinate with the development team
• Construct test cases
• Assist with software documentation
• Use aptitude to learn new technical tools required for the role
• Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures
• Develop REST API backends using ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core (using C#)
• Develop in Microsoft ASP.NET (using C#)
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational software
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing REST API backends using ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core (using C#)
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing in Microsoft ASP.NET (using C#)
• Security+ CE certification (required within 6 months of hire date)
• Agile methodologies and tools
• DevOps practices and tools
• Experience with DoD software development processes
Preferred:
• Experience with a distributed version control system, such as GIT
• Experience with client-side development using JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience with font-end frameworks such as Vue.js
• Proficient with Back End Development in multi-tiered application using platforms such as C#, T-SQL, ASP.Net core & Entity Framework
• Experience developing Unit Tests such as MSTest, xUnit, or nUnit
• Experience with using Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience working in Agile teams such as scrum
• Experience with Agile and DevOps or DevSecOps software development practices, such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test Driven Development (TDD)
