Overview
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking an Application Integration Specialist to work in a on-site capacity in Chambersburg, PA.
Position Overview:
As an Application Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for orchestrating the seamless flow of data between enterprise applications, including EMRs, billing systems, and staff portals. This role serves as a critical liaison between internal stakeholders and external software vendors, ensuring technology solutions effectively support both clinical and operational objectives while maintaining security, compliance, and system reliability.

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize secure system integrations using APIs, middleware, and other technologies to ensure accurate and reliable data exchange between enterprise applications.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for software vendors, managing troubleshooting efforts, system upgrades, integration projects, and ongoing vendor relationships.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business and clinical requirements into technical specifications for internal teams and external vendors.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex integration and application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize system downtime.
  • Ensure all integration solutions comply with healthcare security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA standards.
  • Support data collection methods, reporting processes, data integration initiatives, data integrity efforts, and database management activities.
  • Conduct application testing to validate functionality, performance, and integration accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of application configurations, integrations, system changes, and technical procedures.
  • Develop technical documentation and provide training to clinical and non-clinical staff on applications, workflows, and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Technical Operations in supporting security and privacy initiatives and responsibilities.
  • Provide help desk support, document work orders, and assist with issue resolution across supported applications.
  • Provide regularly scheduled after-hours on-call support as required.
  • Support resident support personnel and collaborate to deliver exceptional service and technical support to residents.
  • Adhere to established safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and high-quality customer service in alignment with organizational values.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data integration concepts, database management, data integrity, and reporting processes.
  • Understanding of healthcare technology security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and delivering user training.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation.

  • Experience supporting healthcare environments, including senior living, long-term care, or clinical operations.
