Job Description

You will lead complex FSD application and site-level migrations during the integration of purification and filtration businesses into the Thermo Fisher Scientific IT ecosystem, ensuring seamless transitions and business continuity.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the application migration kanban, coordinating complex FSD integrations across multiple workstreams
  • Apply Agile methodologies and frameworks to drive project execution, scope management, schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Leverage deep IT landscape knowledge to design and implement scalable migration strategies and support models
  • Foster continuous improvement and innovation by applying PPI principles throughout migration activities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver strategic technology solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across organizational levels to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases
  • Develop repeatable models that drive business continuity, process efficiency, and sustainable application support
REQUIREMENTS
  • Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of IT project management experience, including large-scale enterprise implementations
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or preferred
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (SAFe, CSM, etc.) preferred
  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall
  • Experience with project/portfolio management tools (MS Project, Planview, Jira, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success managing complex technical projects in regulated environments (GxP, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Excellent financial acumen and budget management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and collaborate across multiple teams and organizational levels
  • Experience managing distributed teams and external vendors
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and project management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Experience with enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, LIMS preferred
  • Travel may be required up to 20%
  • Life sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery within scope, timeline and budget constraints
  • Excellent risk management and issue resolution skills

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $113,500.00–$150,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
