Job description

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to develop and maintain our customer interfacing applications and core internal integrations. This role works within self-organized teams to ensure software is built to customer expectations.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Maintains existing systems and fix defects, as necessary.
  • Automates processes to improve efficiency.
  • Builds tools to eliminate repetitive tasks.
  • Participates in self-organizing teams working toward a common goal.
  • Responds to issues as they arise and partner with Systems Assurance Group to improve monitoring.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited fouryear college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of objectoriented programming (OOP) principles and modern development practices. Demonstrated experience applying SOLID principles and common design patterns to build scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, test, and maintain applications using multiple programming languages and frameworks, including: C#, .NET, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular/React, TSQL, HTML, CSS
  • Experience designing or integrating agentic AI solutions, including taskoriented or autonomous agents that leverage foundation models, utilize tool/API invocation, maintain context across multistep workflows, and operate within enterprise security and governance standards.
  • Familiarity with AIassisted development tools and generative AI platforms, such as Anthropic Claude, AWS AI services (including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and related offerings), GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience integrating or consuming AI/ML models and APIs (e.g., recommendation engines, NLP, classification, forecasting).
  • Understanding of data pipelines, model inputs/outputs, and AI model lifecycle basics.
  • Ability to apply AI techniques to improve developer productivity, automate workflows, enhance user experiences, or improve data insights.
  • Experience querying and manipulating data using relational databases; strong SQL skills required.
  • Exposure to external data storage systems such as file shares, flat files, databases, and cloud storage.
  • Knowledge of current testing frameworks, automation strategies, and quality engineering practices.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI capabilities.
  • Ability to participate in operational support and on-call rotations as required.Capable of troubleshooting production issues and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Able to sit for extended periods performing computer-based, sedentary work.
