The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of Application Engineers focused on Xylem's capital solutions. This role involves providing opportunity Go No Go support, reviewing opportunities to assure they have the appropriate level of discovery, and assignment of opportunities to various Application Engineers. Collaboration with a team of engineers and effective communication with stakeholders (sales) are also key aspects of this job.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of Application Engineers supporting work in primarily North America, but some global opportunities
• Provide opportunity Go No Go support
• Review opportunities for sufficient Discovery
• Manage the opportunity funnel and assignment to various Application Engineers
• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to develop new technologies and solutions
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure proposals meet industry standards
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues, answering inquiries and troubleshooting issues
• Stay up to date with industry developments and trends to provide expert technical advice
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in the design and operation of chemical processes
• Develop and implement plans to minimize the environmental impact of chemical processes
• Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
