Job description

At OTC, being a Mechanical Application Engineer bridges the gap between engineering design and customer requirements by providing technical expertise, product customization, and application support. Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, if you're hardworking and eager to learn, we want you on our team. What You'll Do: Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored mechanical solutions.

Analyze customer specifications and propose suitable product configurations and modifications. Prepare technical documentation, including CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and application reports. Provide technical support to customers during pre-sale and post-sale stages, including on-site visits if required.

Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies. Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field a plus but not mandatory. 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or applications engineering or entry-level would be acceptable depending on the organization. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD)

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience in a customer-facing technical role. Familiarity with ERP systems and technical sales tools.
