Description:

Pilatus is hiring a QA Inspector to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for applying seating upholstery for final installation on new aircraft seats. Under limited supervision, fabricate, assemble, and install seat upholstery in accordance with technical data and compliance with FAA/EASA standards. Perform material inspections, material handling, and application in accordance with process specifications. Take your career to the next level with Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Bond leather and synthetic materials together using different methods and adhesives
  • Apply and finish wrap materials to seat shrouds and cushions
  • Work within MRP system to maintain labor tracking and Job Card/Task sign-offs
  • Use safety equipment and comply with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
  • Effectively communicate with management and team leads
  • Perform work with high attention to detail and adhere to quality standards
  • Follow provided standardized work and direction provided by team leads/senior technicians
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, alignment, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Identify, document, and report defects, discrepancies, or nonconforming materials to management
  • Maintain traceability and complete required production documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work with Leads and higher skilled technicians to develop and refine skills and techniques
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work area
  • Assist coworkers and other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Lead or Manager
Requirements:

Skills/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three (3) years related experience or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations
  • Ability to use hand tools and/or other specialize equipment; ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Regular attendance and willingness to work overtime as required
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English


The salary range for this position is $26 - $36 per hour depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
