Job Description

Greet and welcome patients promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, addressing any comfort or anxiety concerns.
Select, assemble, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following safety and sanitation protocols.
Assist the dentist during procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient care.
Manage lab duties as assigned by the dentist.
Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to support ongoing dental health.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and stock all necessary supplies.
Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar logistics.
Accurately maintain and update patient records and assist with payment processing.

Salary Range

Full-time $27 - $33 per hour

Shift & Schedule

Monday through Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements
  • Basic life support
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Infection Control License

High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Basic computer literacy and ability to use dental office software efficiently.
Demonstrated understanding of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control procedures.
Knowledge of health and workplace safety regulations (e.g., CPR and AED certification preferred).
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients compassionately.
Well-organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical dental tasks, such as tooth polishing, is a plus.

Preferences
  • Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Completion of dental assistant training or certification (e.g., Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), EFDA).
Prior experience in a dental office environment, especially in four-handed dentistry.
Additional certifications such as CPR and AED.
