For over 20 years, Goodman has provided precision services for the world's largest media and tech companies by offering residential and commercial field service support and program management for regional and national installation and maintenance programs for network operators, e-retailers and electronics manufacturers.
Job Summary:
Appliance Installation Technician III's are responsible for delivery and installation of residential appliance products. Lead and mentor less experienced technicians and provide new product training and demonstrations.
Essential and Primary Functions:
  • Loading appliances within a warehouse environment
  • Residential delivery of appliances
  • Proper handling and installation of gas and electric household appliances such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, and refrigerators
  • Ensures the installed appliances are damage free, properly installed according to manufacturer's specifications and are fully functioning
  • Advise and educate customer regarding use and care of appliance
  • Educate about benefits and upsell to customers add-on sales products

Other Functions
  • Inspects vehicle pre- and post-trips
  • Monitor the timely maintenance and repair of the vehicle
  • Use provided handheld device to handle and close assigned work orders
  • Continuously learns about relevant new technology

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • 2 years experience with in-home residential major appliance delivery & install experience
  • Ability to deliver "white glove service" to customers
  • At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED required

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Possess a valid driver license
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Mechanical skills and willingness to learn - plumbing and electrical
  • Basic computer skills and comfortable operating electronic devices
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work a flexible schedule (weekends / holidays / evenings)
  • Ability to work independently or as team
  • Willing to learn and be trained

Certificates, Licenses, Registration and Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Pass DOT physical

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull weight up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of a team with the use of a harness, lift, or dolly
  • Comfortable working in customers' homes
  • Comfortable working outdoors and driving in all types of weather conditions
