Home Appliance is hiring an Experienced Appliance Installation Technician to complete professional residential and light-commercial appliance installations throughout Northeast Ohio.
This position is designed for an experienced installer who can run a route, solve problems in the field, protect customersโ€™ homes, and deliver an excellent experience from arrival through the final walkthrough.
You will install refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, laundry equipment, ventilation systems, and other household appliances. Qualified candidates should have previous appliance installation or closely related trade experience and a working knowledge of the plumbing, electrical, venting, and carpentry skills involved in appliance installation.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Independently manage and complete an assigned installation route
  • Deliver and install appliances according to manufacturer requirements and company quality standards
  • Complete installations involving refrigerators, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ventilation systems
  • Perform pre-installation inspections and verify measurements, connections, and site readiness
  • Complete appropriate plumbing, electrical, venting, and carpentry work within the positionโ€™s authorized scope
  • Identify installation challenges and develop safe, effective solutions
  • Test appliances and confirm proper operation
  • Protect customersโ€™ homes and maintain clean, organized work areas
  • Explain completed work and basic appliance operation to customers
  • Safely operate a company-owned 26-foot box truck
  • Load, secure, transport, and handle appliances using proper equipment and techniques
  • Complete required paperwork, installation photos, and job notes accurately and on time
  • Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, sales staff, and team members
  • Follow all company safety procedures and installation standards
  • Help train and develop apprentice installers when assigned
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Previous appliance installation or closely related trade experience
  • Ability to complete common appliance installations with limited supervision
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, venting, and carpentry principles related to appliance installation
  • Ability to understand measurements, specifications, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • Professional and respectful conduct in customersโ€™ homes
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver heavier appliances with appropriate equipment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to qualify as a driver under the companyโ€™s vehicle insurance policy
  • Ability to safely operate a 26-foot box truck
  • Willingness to complete the companyโ€™s background investigation and drug-screening process
Compensation and Career Growth
  • Base pay of $22โ€“$25 per hour, based on skills and experience
  • Commission opportunities in addition to base pay
  • Increasing commission percentages as you advance through installer levels
  • Bonus and/or profit-sharing eligibility
  • Advancement opportunities for installers who demonstrate strong quality, productivity, customer service, and leadership
  • A career path toward senior installer and other leadership opportunities
Your earning potential is influenced by your performance, technician level, productivity, and willingness to accept additional work. Senior installers who consistently perform at a high level and are willing to work additional hours may have the opportunity to earn up to $100,000 a year
