Position Summary:

Affordable Appliance Repair is launching a dedicated appliance installation division to serve our growing base of residential customers. We’re seeking an experienced Lead Appliance Installer to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering and installing major home appliances with precision, professionalism, and safety. You’ll work with a helper to complete daily installs, ensure customer satisfaction, and uphold our standard of excellence in the field.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and install major home appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, ranges, and ovens)
  • Read and interpret work orders, site specs, and installation instructions
  • Safely connect gas, water, electrical, and ventilation systems (where applicable)
  • Install anti-tip brackets, stacking kits, pedestals, trim, and accessories as needed
  • Confirm all appliances are level, tested, and functioning before leaving the site
  • Communicate clearly with customers and address any installation concerns
  • Maintain accurate records, collect signatures, and capture photos of completed jobs
  • Identify and report job-site hazards or incomplete site prep before proceeding
  • Safely load/unload appliances using dollies, straps, and lift gate
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the installer helper/apprentice
Qualifications:

Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in appliance installation (residential)
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing connections (standard 120V/240V, gas flex lines, water lines, drain hoses)
  • Able to read floor plans, site layouts, and installation guides
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Physically able to lift and maneuver appliances with assistance
  • Comfortable using smartphone-based routing and job completion apps
Preferred:

  • Experience with built-in, high-end, or integrated appliance installs
  • EPA Type I certification (a plus, not required)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
