Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: work with students and faculty/staff of Bob Jones University to assist in solving technology problems and providing technology resources.
*Bob Jones University students only*

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • work with customers to resolve technology problems in person, over the phone, and over email
  • Troubleshoot new issues as well as recall specific solutions to recurring issues
  • Assist in the loaning and returning of equipment to faculty and students
  • Assist with hard drive backups and data transfer
  • Assist in providing technology resources to students  and faculty/staff as well as basic instruction for how to use or procure those resources

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
  • Experience with Windows 10 and 11
  • Experience with Apple OS
  • Experience with mobile computing platforms including iOS and Android
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Learn and adapt quickly to new skills, settings, and technological challenges
