Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things. The ASO Platform Product management team is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling that builds our e-commerce experience. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead some of Apple Retail’s most significant growth initiatives. This team is responsible for building seamless, personalized, and innovative digital commerce experiences and capabilities for all our online customers. This is a technical role that links between business, design, and engineering to bring to life incredible products for our customers.

Description

Working together with key cross‑functional partners, such as other Product Managers, Product Marketing, Merchandising, Digital Content Management, Engineering, Operations and more, you will help chart a course to evolve our platform architecture. Your role is to challenge old assumptions, and bring them flexibility and dynamism that our business teams need to take us into the future — all while keeping our existing multi‑billion dollar business running flawlessly. Your experience building and scaling complex distributed systems will guide critical architecture decisions and drive the adoption of cloud‑native patterns, Infrastructure as Code, and modern delivery pipelines. Beyond strategy and roadmaps, you’ll dive into the details and help drive projects leading cross‑functional efforts to deliver platform upgrades and optimize our tools and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop multi‑year strategies, roadmaps, and plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive product discovery, requirements, and delivery of new capabilities.
  • Communicate ideas, plans, and program status to senior partners and executives.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment through respecting each other’s differences and having the curiosity to learn.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years combined experience in Product Management or Project/Program Management, driving e‑commerce or consumer digital experiences.
  • Full professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Ability to dive into technical details and designs including data platform, CRM, web technologies, large‑scale service architectures, and app platforms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a technical degree, or 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with new technologies like AI, Deep Learning, and their practical applications in digital commerce.
  • Familiarity with 3rd Party e‑commerce marketplace integrations.
  • Experience working with publishing, merchandising, and other key e‑commerce systems, with a focus on ensuring scalability, automation, and seamless integration to the larger platform.
  • Experience with SaaS, including CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe), and Data Science.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,500 and $311,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
