Summary

Apple's Commercial Legal Group is seeking Legal Counsel to join its Retail Legal team to help support Apple's physical brick-and-mortar retail stores, the Apple Store Online, the Apple Store App, Retail Customer Care Centers, and its community of 88,000+ retail field team members.

Description

No two days look the same when you support Apple Retail. This role is dynamic by nature and ripe for matters of first impression, and the ideal candidate will bring a broad skillset and the agility to apply it across a wide range of matters as business needs evolve. You will serve as a trusted legal partner to teams that support Apple Retail Stores, the Apple Store Online, the Apple Store App, and Retail Customer Care, supporting a diverse mix of initiatives and issues across the organization. Your work may span advising on new store programs, technologies, policies, and procedures; reviewing marketing materials; negotiating commercial agreements; redesigning customer experiences; supporting strategic business initiatives; launching promotions and events; handling executive consumer escalations; and navigating regulatory compliance and emerging legislation -- and that is just a snapshot.

As a member of the team, you will be an integrated business partner, with an opportunity to contribute to the continued success of one of the most recognized and successful retailers in the world.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of major law firm and/or in-house experience
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
  • Admission to at least one US state bar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising on e-commerce, commercial, marketing, and/or consumer protection matters
  • Experience in product or program counseling, with a strong ability to connect the dots across cross-functional teams to support a diverse range of business objectives
  • Ability to work independently, manage a varied and fast-moving workload, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to issue spot, develop creative solutions to complex problems, and distill clear, actionable guidance
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with experience advising on and managing complex commercial agreements, policies and procedures, and terms and conditions
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and the evolving legal and regulatory landscape surrounding them
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and sound, practical judgment
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to confidently drive matters forward and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders; Keynote experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit, with the skills to build trusted relationships across all levels of a global organization
