The IS&T Retail Engineering Operations & Support team is the foundation that makes the magic of Apple Retail-both in-store and online-possible, operating with the same precision, innovation, and attention to detail that defines every Apple experience. We support the Apple Online Store and Apple Retail Stores with exceptional business-focused technical services and innovative technological solutions. We build and operate systems, develop applications and tools, and maintain critical infrastructure that connects and powers Apple Store operations. Our embedded security team protects the entire Retail organization, building security into systems, applications, infrastructure, and processes - from inception to production. We operate with a global follow-the-sun support model to ensure that the Apple Online Store is always available, and every Apple Store has continuous, secure access to all of IS&T's systems, applications, tools, and support that they need to surprise-and-delight Apple's customers.
Description
We are looking for an IS&T Retail Field Leader to join our IS&T Retail Engineering Operations & Support team. The Field Leaders are technology experts at the intersection of store engagement, proactive solutions, and business partnerships. We are uniquely positioned in Apple as the only IS&T team with an in store presence. We provide support, education, and long term enhancements. We pursue continuous improvement helping IS&T and Retail Engineering develop the right tools for our store teams. At our core, we engage and provide leadership to stores through in person and virtual efforts. We are responsible for the technological health of all Retail Stores. We support store teams, expansion efforts, store escalations, and mentors. We are the IS&T Retail Field Team.
This position is Remote/Home Office based in NYC or the surrounding area with travel to our Retail locations and offices being a requirement. Travel up to 75% as required. In addition, we are looking for someone who has the ability to work variable hours including weekends and holidays at times.","responsibilities":"Engage with Retail Stores in your dedicated Apple Retail Market Team/s through visits, office hours, weekly calls, Production Validation Testing (PVT), New Product Introduction (NPI), and technology rollouts-aligned with global IS&T Retail Field Strategy to maintain technological health.
Build and sustain partnerships with Retail Store Leadership across all levels (Market Director, Market Leaders, Store Leaders) and across multiple global work centers (Global Retail Support, Market Support, IS&T).
Serve as a key store escalation contact for your dedicated market for critical IS&T retail technology escalations and emerging issues in real-time. Assist with coordinating rapid resolution, root cause analysis, and stakeholder communication.
Help execute and develop Retail Store expansion expertise via on-site infrastructure support, New Store Openings (NSO), New Country Openings (NCO), Existing Store Projects (ESP), and Remodels-ensuring seamless technology integration and operational readiness.
Function as a key partner in Production Validation Testing (PVT) for Retail Engineering and IS&T initiatives to ensure new systems, applications, and hardware meet operational requirements and quality standards before deployment
Preferred Qualifications
Apple Retail leadership experience
Motivation and ability to work as part of a distributed team that spans the globe
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Experience working independently and collaboratively with global teams
Proven time management and prioritization abilities
Flexibility to engage with technical leaders, business executives, store teams, and third-partyvendors
General knowledge of wireless technology and network infrastructure
Comfort with technologies, hardware, software, and systems critical to supporting retail stores
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Demonstrated experience with Retail Store environment and the supporting retail IT systems
Experience using Apple products and operating systems such as Macs (MacOS), iOSdevices, Apple Watch, and Apple TV
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Candidates must be able to travel up to 75% as required
Ability to work variable hours including weekends and holidays (at times).
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,500 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
