The team designs, develops, and delivers high-precision, low-latency MultiTouch solutions that are the gold standard in the smartphone/mobile industry. New challenges arise every day that require innovation across several technical disciplines, including Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Process, Physics, and Algorithms. Description
You will play a key role in designing, developing, integrating, and launching next-generation touch sensing technologies.","responsibilities":"Perform design feasibility studies and analyses based on advanced module requirements and system constraints.
Collaborate with the silicon design team, the DFM team, the system team, and external suppliers to develop optimized module/system level design solutions for our touch sensing technology.
Create, develop, and review schematics for touch sensor modules, ensuring signal integrity, power delivery, and compliance with system-level electrical requirements.
Drive layout design for touch sensing circuits, including component placement, routing strategies, and design rule verification in close collaboration with layout engineers.
Drive module/system-level failure analysis, root cause diagnosis, and corrective action validation.
Engage partner teams to address critical issues through multiple engineering development stages to ensure a smooth product delivery.
Business travel may be required to support product development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in all phases of circuit design, development and validation.
Schematic design and layout experience.
Circuit simulation experience (LCR extraction, signal integrity, etc.).
Proficient in using lab equipment (DMM, SMU, Oscilloscope, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
