Contract to Hire

Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a technical expert on BPM / Appian-based applications
Lead end-to-end design and implementation of BPM solutions using Appian platform
Work with Business System Analysts to translate process requirements into optimized BPM workflows
Drive process automation, workflow orchestration, and case management solutions
Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud teams to deploy scalable BPM platforms on AWS
Research and evaluate Appian and BPM solutions aligned with standards
Optimize application and workflow performance, reducing latency and bottlenecks
Leverage AI-assisted tools such as AWS Kiro, Amazon Q, and Microsoft Copilot for development, automation, and documentation
Ensure integration of BPM solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures
Provide technical leadership across development, testing, deployment, and production support
Lead UI/UX architecture for BPM applications ensuring intuitive workflows, responsive UI, and consistency
Ensure adherence to accessibility (WCAG), usability, and design standards
Align risk, control, and governance processes within BPM workflows and applications
Promote best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, and Appian deployment strategies
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years of related experience
Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talent Needed for Success:
8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and BPM platforms
Strong expertise in Appian BPM platform including process modeling, SAIL, and integrations
Experience designing enterprise BPM workflows, case management, and automation solutions
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and REST API integrations
Experience working with Appian objects (process models, rules, interfaces, records)
Experience integrating with databases and enterprise systems (Oracle, Snowflake)
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven
Hands-on experience with AI developer tools (AWS Kiro, Amazon Q, Microsoft Copilot)
Strong understanding of process optimization, workflow automation, and business rule implementation
Experience with Agile methodology and iterative development models
Strong UI/UX architecture skills including workflow design, usability principles, and responsive interfaces
Experience with testing frameworks and automation strategies
Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and scalable architecture
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Additional Qualifications:
Experience implementing BPM solutions in financial services or regulated industries
Appian certification (Level 2 or Lead Developer) preferred
Experience with cloud-native BPM deployments and AWS architecture
Exposure to AI/ML-driven workflow automation and intelligent process automation
Experience defining design systems and UI standards for enterprise workflow applications
Certifications in AWS, Appian, or enterprise architecture
