Role Overview

Fashion Nova is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Trims Manager to join our Procurement and Compliance/QC team. In this cross-functional operational role, you will lead the end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and management of all trims and packaging across our buying and marketing departments. You will bridge the gap between design vision and physical production by driving vendor negotiations, establishing robust supplier agreements, and maintaining centralized trim libraries and operational manuals. Operating under the umbrella of Procurement and Quality Control, you will be the operational backbone ensuring that every trim-from buttons and zippers to custom packaging-meets Fashion Nova's high standards for quality, cost efficiency, speed, and brand compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end sourcing and procurement of trims and packaging to support both buying and marketing initiatives across the business.
  • Partner with garment factories, trim suppliers, and overseas vendors to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of materials.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and lead times with trim suppliers to establish scalable and cost-effective vendor agreements.
  • Develop, update, and standardize official Trim Manuals, quality guidelines, and compliance frameworks for global suppliers.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive physical and digital Trim Library to streamline design selection and procurement workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with QC and Compliance teams to enforce strict quality control standards and test trim performance prior to production.
  • Work directly with internal Buying, Sourcing, and Marketing teams to forecast trim needs and align procurement schedules with production timelines.
  • Audit supplier performance and build long-term vendor partnerships to improve overall supply chain reliability and margin performance.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience in trim operations, trim sourcing, procurement, or product development in a fast-fashion environment.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation, vendor management, and contracting within the apparel or retail industry.
  • Deep knowledge of global trim manufacturing, physical testing standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and maintain brand-wide Trim Manuals and centralized resource libraries.
  • Strong cross-functional management skills, with experience sitting within or collaborating directly alongside Procurement and Quality Control.
  • Excellent understanding of high-volume apparel production timelines, buying cycles, and fast-turnaround operations.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with a relentless focus on detail, cost optimization, and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with internal executives and global third-party factories.
