POSITION OVERVIEW

Every uniform, performance piece, and graphic detail is developed with purpose and precision to represent both the adidas brand and the identities of the clubs and federations we partner with.

The Apparel Product Manager (EuroLeague Basketball) will execute category direction established by senior leadership while driving the creation and execution of seasonal product strategies across global basketball. This role plays a critical part in translating athlete insights, consumer trends, and commercial opportunities into compelling product assortments that elevate the adidas Basketball business.

This position partners closely with Design, Development, Materials, Costing, Planning, Sports Marketing, and Go To Market teams to deliver best-in-class product ranges. The role requires strong collaboration across global business units and external club and federation partners to ensure products meet both performance expectations and strategic business goals.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of apparel product creation, experience managing multiple product seasons simultaneously, and a passion for basketball culture and innovation. This role combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, and relationship management within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Seasonal Product Strategy: Create and lead the execution of seasonal product strategies for Euroleague and global basketball apparel categories using sales data, consumer insights, competitive analysis, and inline product performance.

Product Creation Management: Drive product concepts through the end-to-end product creation process while ensuring all deliverables meet established calendar milestones and timelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong partnerships across Design, Development, Materials, Costing, Planning, Go To Market, and Sports Marketing teams to support efficient and effective product execution.

Product Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee product lifecycle performance and use data-driven insights to optimize assortments, pricing strategies, inventory productivity, and business opportunities.

Range Expertise: Develop deep product and category expertise across uniforms, performance apparel, accessories, and graphics while serving as a trusted resource for markets and retail partners.

Club and Federation Partnerships: Own communication with clubs, teams, and federations to align global basketball direction with contractual obligations, team identities, and brand priorities.

Market and Trend Research: Conduct ongoing athlete, consumer, market, and trend research to identify opportunities for growth and future product innovation.

Presentation and Communication: Prepare and present product ranges, business updates, and strategic concepts to a variety of audiences using clear and impactful storytelling.

Operational Excellence: Maintain strong knowledge of product information systems, timelines, and interlinking functions to support seamless execution across multiple product seasons.

Business Flexibility: Adapt to changing product and range ownership needs while balancing both short-term priorities and long-term strategic initiatives.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, textile, fashion, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of product marketing experience with an apparel background.

Strong understanding of apparel product creation and product management systems.

Experience managing cross-functional partnerships within a collaborative environment.

Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple seasons and priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint and Excel.

Fluent in English.

Ability to travel as business needs require.

Passion for sport, product, and the adidas brand.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Specialization in uniform and performance apparel product creation.

Experience working with basketball clubs, teams, or federations.

Knowledge of basketball culture, athlete needs, and competitive marketplace trends.

Experience partnering with global business units and key retail accounts.

Proven ability to foster a positive and motivating team environment.

Experience leveraging consumer insights and hindsight analysis to drive product opportunities.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is based in Los Angeles, California and operates under adidas' hybrid work model. Employees are expected to work in the office Monday through Thursday with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. In-office attendance may be required on Fridays when business priorities demand increased collaboration or in-person presentations.

The work environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly cross-functional. This role requires balancing multiple product seasons simultaneously while partnering with internal teams, external partners, and global stakeholders. Domestic and international travel may be required based on business and partnership needs.


REPORTING STRUCTURE

This role reports to Senior Product Management leadership within the Basketball Business Unit. The position works closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Development, Materials, Costing, Planning, Sports Marketing, Go To Market, and external basketball partners.

The role also maintains significant exposure to global business units, markets, key accounts, clubs, teams, and federations while supporting strategic product and category initiatives across the basketball organization.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $108,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographic location.

Compensation for this role is designed to be competitive within the market and aligned with internal equity and business considerations.

Employees are eligible to earn an annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
