Our growing company is searching for a Business Development Representative to play a critical role in building new clients for Your Money Line. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for prospecting into targeted accounts and partnerships to expand our overall client growth. In this role, you will work closely with the sales and marketing teams. This role reports directly to the Head of Sales at YML and is primarily in-person at Your Money Line's Indianapolis headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Research and identify potential business opportunities through various channels (LinkedIn, industry databases, cold calling, customized emailing, etc.).
  • Qualify outbound leads and prospects to ensure they meet the ideal customer profile.
  • Develop new partner introductions from existing YML partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients by consistently reaching out to new leads.

Outreach & Engagement:

  • Initiate cold calls, emails, and social media outreach to introduce the company's products or services to potential clients.
  • Engage with decision-makers (e.g., executives, managers) to schedule meetings, product demos, or discovery calls.
  • Develop customized outreach messages based on prospect research and pain points.

Lead Qualification:

  • Assess the needs, challenges, and budget of potential customers to ensure they are a good fit for the company's offerings.
  • Work closely with the sales team to qualify and prioritize leads, passing on the most promising opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed meeting set, meetings held, and pipeline goals

CRM Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions, sales activities, and lead statuses in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo).
  • Track performance metrics such as lead conversion rates, meetings scheduled, and follow-up activities.

Collaboration with Sales Team:

  • Collaborate with the Account Executives and Sales Managers to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Provide the sales team with insights and feedback about customer pain points and objections.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive insights, and potential new business verticals.
  • Stay informed about industry news, product updates, and competitor offerings.

Follow-Up & Nurturing:

  • Follow up with leads to maintain engagement and ensure they remain interested in the company's products/services.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with prospects who may not be ready to buy immediately, ensuring they remain on the radar for future opportunities.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (ideal, but not required).
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator) is a plus.
