Job Title: Android App Developer
Full Job Description
We are looking for an Android developer to work with a talented group of developers and engineers building an android based video application. You will contribute to the design and build of our next generation of video applications in set-to-boxes and remote devices targeting the residential and lodging markets in the U.S.
  • Design and development of advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Continuous integration

Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven working experience in Android app development
  • Android TV and Leanback experience helpful
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and have an in depth understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Have published at least one original Android app
  • Experience with Android SDK
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
