Senior Salesforce Developer/Administrator
Remote (U.S. Based)
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Senior Salesforce Administrator / Developer to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and enhancing our Salesforce platform, including Certinia (FinancialForce), and supporting cross-functional teams across the organization. You'll work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations to build automations, dashboards, and process improvements that drive efficiency and insight.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a critical business system and grow into a leadership role as our organization scales. You'll be the go-to expert for Salesforce and play a key role in enabling our teams to make data-driven decisions.
You'll join a collaborative, mission-driven team that focuses on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation. The role also offers significant exposure to cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, providing the opportunity to influence key business decisions and make a meaningful impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary administrator and developer for our Salesforce platform, including Certinia PSA and FFA modules.
  • Manage user setup, roles, profiles, permissions, and security settings.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and automations (Screen, Record-Triggered, and Scheduled Flows; Apex triggers and classes).
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for Finance, Sales, and other departments.
  • Evaluate and pilot Salesforce AI tools (e.g., Agentforce, Einstein) to improve automation and analytics.
  • Support and lead system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting in collaboration with Accounting and Finance teams.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Salesforce users, resolving issues and responding to enhancement requests.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and system performance through regular audits and maintenance.
  • Train users and promote adoption of Salesforce features and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 5-8 years of hands-on Salesforce development and administration experience.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, or Certinia Accredited Professional (PSA/FFA) certifications a plus.
  • Experience with Certinia PSA and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in declarative tools (Flow Builder) and hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, and data management best practices.
  • Experience with data migration and ETL tools (Data Loader, Workbench, or similar).
  • Experience with system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Experience with sandbox-to-production deployment and change management.
  • Experience supporting Finance or FP&A teams is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for solving business problems with technology.

Actual salary is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, and other business and organizational needs. The range of starting annual salary for this role is $125,000-$145,000. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Salary is one component of Council Advisor's total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) with company contribution, generous paid time off, benefits, and wellness program.
