Job Description About the Team

The Platform Engineering team designs, builds, and operates secure, compliant, and scalable API, AI, and cloud-native platforms that power digital services across the organization. We function as a platform engineering organization, enabling domain teams to accelerate delivery through self-service infrastructure, strong governance, and automation-first design.

We partner closely with Cloud Engineering, IAM, Information Security, Networking, and FinOps teams to ensure our platforms meet regulatory expectations while delivering a high-quality developer experience. Our mission is to enable secure, standardized, and high-performance platform ecosystems across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while enforcing enterprise standards through automation and policy-driven controls.

In this role you will lead Enterprise API Solution Engineering in building the API, AI, and Agentic Gateway Platform.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, engineering, and operation of scalable API, AI, and cloud-native platform solutions supporting enterprise business domains.
  • Architect and manage enterprise API gateway platforms including Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and Azure API Management.
  • Develop and maintain API proxies, shared flows, gateway policies, and GraphQL services to enable secure, high-performance integrations.
  • Build and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and automation frameworks to support platform provisioning, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment capabilities that improve developer productivity and platform adoption.
  • Drive security, compliance, and governance standards, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, RBAC, audit logging, and policy-as-code controls.
  • Design resilient multi-cloud networking and connectivity solutions, including private endpoints, load balancing, disaster recovery, and traffic management.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration with Cloud, Security, IAM, Networking, and FinOps teams.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Expertise in Platform Engineering, API Gateway Engineering, and Cloud Infrastructure within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apigee (Hybrid/OPDK), including platform architecture, API proxy development, deployment, operations, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced knowledge of API Security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, mTLS, secure token flows, and threat protection controls.
  • Experience with Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, GKE), containerized applications, and cloud-native architectures. Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools including Terraform, Helm, and Ansible. Strong understanding of Networking and Traffic Management, including DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, load balancing, Azure Application Gateway, Front Door, ALB, NLB, and F5 BIG-IP. Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices, observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog), and production support processes. Hands‑on experience with Identity & Access Management, Entra ID (Azure AD) integration, HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, and enterprise authentication/authorization patterns.
