Apartment receptionists work at the front desk of an apartment building to greet visitors, answer phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate department, and assist residents with questions or concerns. They are usually the first person residents and visitors see when they enter the building. Receptionists may also be responsible for administrative tasks, such as helping prospective residents fill out a leasing application, reminding residents about upcoming payments or lease renewals, coordinating maintenance and repair requests, reporting issues or complaints to management, and writing informational memos or other correspondence to be distributed to residents. These positions may be part-time or full-time positions and are typically scheduled during regular business hours.
