Job description

The Accounting Operations Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this hands-on leader supervises Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and future accounting staff, ensuring timely, accurate transaction processing and an efficient monthly close.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct daily AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger processing, treasury administration, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Supervise, coach, schedule, and develop accounting staff.
  • Coordinate the monthly and year-end close process and ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Review account reconciliations and resolve operational accounting issues.
  • Oversee vendor payments, billing, collections, cash application, and payroll administration.
  • Prepare audit schedules, tax workpapers, and financial support for external advisors.
  • Maintain accounting procedures, documentation, and departmental workflows.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide backup support for all accounting functions.
What Makes You A Great Fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience including supervision
  • Experience managing AP, AR, Payroll, and General Ledger functions
  • Construction, manufacturing, or project accounting experience preferred
