Job description

Warbird Healthcare Advisors seeks an experienced hands-on Interim AP Manager / Consultant for a leading, large health system to transform its Accounts Payable function. This is a high-visibility engagement reporting directly to the Controller, with a strong mandate to drive immediate process improvements and implement best practices. This is an opportunity to step into a large, complex healthcare environment and make a measurable impact in a short period of time - ideal for a consultant who thrives on fixing, building, and optimizing critical finance functions.

Engagement Details:

  • Duration: 1–3 months
  • Location: Onsite in West Virginia (no remote option)
  • Reporting To: Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current AP workflows, controls, and team structure; quickly identify gaps and inefficiencies
  • Lead rapid-cycle process improvements to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and scalability
  • Implement AP best practices, including standardization, automation opportunities, and improved vendor management
