What is an AP director?

AP Directors, or Accounts Payable Directors, are senior finance professionals responsible for overseeing an organization's accounts payable department. They manage the team that processes payments to vendors, ensures compliance with company policies, and implements procedures to optimize cash flow and reduce errors. AP Directors play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preventing fraud, and developing strategies to improve the efficiency of payment processes.
