We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior National Account Director to lead market access initiatives across national and regional payer accounts for our Hyaluronic Acid product portfolio. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing reimbursement strategies, securing coverage and payment, and fostering long-term relationships with key national payers, PBMs, and managed care organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • National Payer Strategy & Engagement
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to secure and maintain coverage, coding, and payment with national payers.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for national and regional commercial payer accounts.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements that align with company goals and payer needs.
    • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a coordinated and timely manner to achieve product access goals
    • Represent the company at key trade organization meetings
  • Reimbursement & Policy Leadership
    • Lead reimbursement strategy development for new and existing products, including coding, payment pathways, and coverage policies.
    • Monitor and influence payer policy changes, CMS regulations, and healthcare reform initiatives impacting reimbursement.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on pricing, health economics, and value messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Strategic Pricing, Finance, Legal, and Commercial Leadership teams to support ongoing market access efforts with assigned accounts
    • Provide payer insights to inform decision making in relation to go to market strategies
    • Support field teams with pull through, training, and tools to address payer-related challenges.
  • Data /Analytics/Contracts
    • Utilize claims data, market research, and health economics models to support payer discussions and demonstrate product value.
    • Model and analyze payer contract proposals in relation to overall financial impact on profitability
    • Demonstrate deep understanding of ASP reimbursement and buy and bill
    • Review and understand complex PBM/GPO/Payer contracts
    • Track and report on payer engagement outcomes, reimbursement trends, and competitive landscape.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or related) preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or national account management in the medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong preference given to existing contacts at Anthem, Ascent/ESI, Cigna, Prime Therapeutics, and key Blue Cross Blue Shield plans
  • Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare reimbursement systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
  • Proven success in securing coverage and reimbursement for medical technologies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with complex contracting and payment models.
  • Familiarity with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
  • Prior work with CMS, MACs, and national commercial payers.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 50%.
